Prepping is the act of being prepared—mentally, physically, and logistically—for potential emergencies or disasters, whether natural or man-made. It can range from simply having extra food and water on hand to more elaborate setups like off-grid power, first aid kits, bug-out bags, and even alternate shelter options.
Some people prep for short-term disruptions like storms, while others plan for more extreme scenarios like economic collapse or civil unrest. Regardless of the reason, prepping is ultimately about self-sufficiency, foresight, and a desire to reduce your vulnerability in uncertain times.
I'm not a hard-core prepper, but I do have some supplies for emergencies.
Here are a few good places to start:
You'll need a way to get fresh water reliably.
Not to mention you'll probably want SOME power. I suggest keeping it 80% charged and stored in something like this. In case said emergency is or involves an EMP.
Then there's handy things like this.
Don't forget about self-defense.
